We are delighted to share that our Chinese New Year Celebration on Sunday at Amgueddfa Genedlaethol y Glannau – National Waterfront Museum was a great success. Despite the wet weather, more than 3,200 people came out to celebrate with us. The energy throughout the day was incredible – full of laughter, colour, music, and genuine joy. Seeing families, children, elders, and friends gathering together to welcome the Year of the Horse was truly moving.
We were deeply honoured to welcome the Lord Lieutenant, the Lord Mayor, local councillors, and community leaders to join the celebration. Their presence and encouragement reflect the shared commitment to celebrating diversity and strengthening unity across Wales.
Our heartfelt thanks also go to our generous sponsor and partners – Swansea Council, Amgueddfa Genedlaethol y Glannau – National Waterfront Museum, Confucius Institute at UWTSD, Confucius Institute Swansea Chinese School, Race Equality First, St. Michael’s School, Dealmoon UK, Kwan Yick 群益行 – whose support helped bring this celebration to life.
To our stall holders who brought vibrant flavours and crafts, our performers who filled the stage with energy, our volunteers who gave their time and heart, our generous donors who believed in this celebration, and every audience member who joined us in the rain – thank you! This was not just an event; it was something we created together as a community.
Follow us and stay tuned for more cultural events across Wales during the festival season.
