Mrs. Wai Fong Lee MBE’s life story is one of resilience, family unity, and community service. Born in Hong Kong, her family’s immigration journey to the UK began in the 1970s when her father moved first in search of work. In 1970, he started working for relatives, paving the way for the rest of the family. Her mother followed in 1973, and finally, in 1975, Mrs. Lee joined them, reuniting with her parents after a period of separation.

This fragmented migration experience shaped her early understanding of perseverance and the importance of familial support. Upon settling in Swansea, Wales, Mrs. Lee became deeply involved in her local community. Over the years, she has worked tirelessly to bridge cultural gaps, foster inclusion, and support minority groups.

Her dedication earned her the prestigious title of Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE), reflecting her outstanding contributions to the community and her role as a cultural ambassador. Despite challenges, Mrs. Lee’s story highlights her commitment to nurturing connections between her heritage and the broader British society.
