CIWA is helping to promote research for dementia within the Chinese community.

One in 14 people aged over 65 years have dementia in the UK. By 2026, an estimated 20,000 Chinese people in this age group will have dementia. Currently, we have little information on the Chinese people who are living with dementia or why people are not accessing dementia services. As such, we are conducting a survey to assess your attitudes about dementia and knowledge of brain health. This information will help us develop training and awareness interventions to improve the early help-seeking and diagnosis of dementia.

This survey is designed for the Chinese population living in the UK only, please do not forward the survey to anyone overseas.

Organisations involved in this research include the University of Wolverhampton, the University of the West of England, and Alzheimer Research UK. The project has received ethical approval from the FEHW Ethics Committee.

If you are of Chinese origin or know someone who is, please complete or forward the following link to complete a short survey.

Your participation is most important for many who are facing or at risk of dementia.
