Stay Safe in Winter

Educational, Living in Welsh
冬天通报 (1)

According to the Met Office forecast, the UK will usher in a cold winter with the risk of snow and ice. Many people underestimate the severity of extreme weather, so they get stuck on the road in accidents or car breakdowns, which puts their lives in danger.

Whether it is a long or short journey, especially when going out with the elderly and children, it is even more necessary to take safety measures:

  • Check the latest weather forecast
  • Carry warm items, hats, gloves, scarves
  • Wear waterproof and warm jackets and sturdy shoes
  • Bring blankets, water and food
  • Power bank, in case you need to call for help

If you are trapped in the car, you can take the following actions:

  • Never turn the tires, as they will sink deeper
  • Use a shovel to shovel out the snow under the tires
  • Stay in the car to keep warm while waiting for rescue towing service
