On 20 July, participants in our 50+ Summer Coast Scheme enjoyed a memorable cultural day trip to 5 Cwmdonkin Drive, the birthplace of Swansea’s world-renowned poet, Dylan Thomas.

Guided through the beautifully restored Edwardian home, attendees stepped directly into local literary history. The group was captivated by the rich stories, historic details, and the incredible care taken by the house’s owner to preserve this piece of Swansea’s heritage. It proved to be a wonderful opportunity for our older community members to connect, learn, and explore Welsh history together.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Volunteers

A day trip like this runs smoothly because of dedicated support. We extend a huge thank you to our hardworking volunteer team for assisting our seniors throughout the day, ensuring everyone had a comfortable, safe, and enriching experience.

NHS…
