On Wednesday, 24 June 2026, members of our Cardiff community gathered at the Butetown Pavilion for a practical and informative talk on managing living costs and accessing financial support in Wales.

Delivered by Gareth from Dangos, the bilingual session (presented in English with full Cantonese translation) covered key topics, including:

  • Managing changes in household income and additional living expenses.

  • Understanding the types of benefits available and how to apply.

  • The crucial role of disability benefits and overcoming common concerns about claiming support.

To further support our community’s digital inclusion, we were also thrilled to distribute free SIM cards to participants.

Despite the intense heatwave on the day, everyone came prepared with fans and water to stay comfortable! A heartfelt thank you to Gareth and Dangos for delivering such an empowering session. To our wonderful community: please remember to stay safe, stay hydrated, and take care in the warm weather!

NHS…
