Seasonal Health Talk
Seasons change from summer to autumn will cause emotional changes to
us, which is called “SAD – Seasonal Affective Disorder”. Autumn or winter
sadness is what happening now. BUT we were happy today because CIWA
had organised this health talk in a timely manner. We invited Doctor Fu to
share her experience in healthcare by using Chinese medicines, teas, and
food.
There are tips shared on how we can keep our body warm, how to make a
tea that cures coughing and colds, and also some massage techniques.
If we worry too much and are always angry at every little thing, it will cause yin
& yang imbalance, and therefore causes us to have a problem sleeping. We
were urged to let go of the worries in our daily lives and live peacefully
every day.
Mr. Zhang and many others feed-backed saying their doubts were removed
during the Q & A session, and really benefited from the talk. Tips they
learned in the talk will be practiced at home, and they are confident it will put
them on a more healthy route.
After the tea testing session, as a gesture of appreciation, the participants
received a herbal tea bag to take home with them, they loved it! The happy
index shot up because of this small gift!
Your health is one of the reasons for our advocacy’s “StandUpForYou”
project and the Older People Group. We will run one last health talk on
Brain Health, next month before the end of 2022.
We wish everyone stays healthy and happy this winter.
