On 17 July, our community gathered for a peaceful and immersive introductory session on Chinese Calligraphy.

Designed for beginners, the workshop guided participants through the fundamental techniques of the art form—from applying wrist strength for ground strokes to delicate brush-control techniques using reusable magic water paper. The calm focus required for each stroke created a natural space for mindfulness, with participants losing track of time as they concentrated on mastering the movements.

Supporting Mental Wellbeing Through Heritage

Cultural arts offer a fantastic avenue for relaxing the mind, reducing stress, and learning new skills in a supportive group setting.

A special thank you to the West Glamorgan Regional Partnership for funding and supporting this project, helping us bring accessible wellbeing initiatives to our community!
